Security Research Engineer
Job Description
Cymtec Systems is looking for a Security Research Engineer II to join our highly talented and rapidly expanding team at our Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. This position will be responsible for threat research analysis and development. The Research Engineer will create and update policy rules in the company's propagation protection solution, Cymtec Sentry as well as the development of security content/signature releases for our intrusion detection solution, Cymtec Scout. The Research Group with also be responsible for conducting research on emerging products, services, protocols and standards in support of security efforts.
Candidates should be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment that rewards technical excellence. A bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years experience as a Software Engineer
- Experience with Linux/Unix command line tools/shell scripting
- Experience using C/C++ for development in a Unix environment
- Experience with Perl and advanced bash shell scripts
- Linux/Unix System administration skills
- Strong working knowledge of network and host based intrusion detection systems.
- Knowledge of traffic generation and IDS testing methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to analyze network traffic for anomalies
- Experience with network security tools such as nmap, tcpreplay, nessus, ethereal, and tcpdump
- Deep protocol decoding and attack signature creation a must
- Reverse engineering tools (IDA/OllyDbg/SoftICE)
- Knowledge of contemporary security concepts and problems
Desired Skills
- Experience porting between different Software and Hardware platforms
- C/C++ on Windows and Win32 API/internals
- Assembly language (Intel 80x86 or another modern architecture)
- TCP/IP networking and common networking hardware
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Prior experience as part of a software development team

Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager's focus will center on further development of these key markets for Cymtec Systems. This includes owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle, as well as maintaining and expanding the customer base within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, develop and grow a Country/Region/Territory whereby monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Understand and convey key Business issues facing Distributors, resellers and customers
- Develop sales plan to provide market overview and sales/marketing strategy for achieving sales target (Quota).
- Recruit and manage the channel partners including Distributors/Re-Sellers/Systems
Integrators
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle to secure new customers

Skills & Experience:

- Candidates will be highly motivated and have extensive experience in successfully selling to both SME and enterprise organizations.
- Excellent knowledge of multiple platforms in correlation with networking/security, competitors and market landscape is required.
- Candidates must have strong presentation, written and oral communication skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred.
- Travel required.
